The RV3029C2 is supplied on tape and reel. 1k or 5k pcs per reel are the standard T&R pack sizes for this product. Partial quantities may be supplied on tape (no reel), or in bulk.

Product Description

Although no longer recommended for new designs, the RV3029C2 real time clock module does offer a range of excellent specifications and additional functionality for existing designs with I2C bus 2-wire serial interface. Smart temperature compensation means this component is suitable for a wide range of applications, including external metering, with exellent temperature stability options available covering operating temperature ranges as wide as -40 to +125ºC.

RTC built-in functions include standard clock and calendar functions, with year tracking and leap-year flagging, and additional specialized functions include backup battery input with internal switchover function, programmable trickle-charge circuitry, integrated temperature sensor with digital output, and 8 bytes of RAM and 2 bytes of EEPROM. For new designs please consider the RV3029C3 which features the same functionality and specifications but within a smaller 3.7 x 2.5mm package and is more competitively priced. Engineers designing for power-sensitive applications that require temperature compensation may also wish to consider the RV8803C7 which has current consumption as low as 240nA within a 3.2 x 1.5mm footprint package.
